SafeTALK Training

SafeTALK is a four-hour training that supports you in learning how to recognise and engage someone who might be having thoughts of suicide and help keep them safe by moving quickly to connect the person with further support. Hosted by Switchboard Victoria, the training is delivered by registered LivingWorks LGBTIQA+ trainers.
Our May SafeTALK session has been postponed to the following date:

This session is designed for LGBTIQA+ workers and/or people who work with the LGBTIQA+ community. It is fee for service for workers, however there are a limited number of free places for community members.

LGBTIQA+ ASIST Training
11 - 12 June 2025
ASIST is a two-day workshop that teaches participants how to provide suicide first-aid and intervention using the Pathways for Assisting Life (PAL) model. Hosted by Switchboard Victoria, this workshop will be delivered by registered LGBTIQA+ facilitators who are trained in an LGBTIQA+ specific version of the original Livingworks ASIST training.
This training is designed for LGBTIQA+ workers, community members and mental health workers with LGBTIQA+ clients.
The cost of the training is $450 per person, with 5 free places available for community members. The cost includes catering for both days and the workbook.
